TOO FACED PRETTY RICH DIAMOND LIGHT EYESHADOW PALETTE

if you’ve been reading my blog for a while now you will know that I am a bit obsessed with pretty eyeshadow palettes, which is a little odd since I only ever wear a neutral eye in real life. Even so, I am always drawn to a gorgeous palette of shimmery shades to make the perfect party of particles on my eyelids.

Now I don’t want to ever look like I’m wearing a glitter eyeshadow as that’s just not my personal preference but sometimes one does want more than a standard taupe and beige combo.

This new palette from Too Faced cosmetics doesn’t disappoint. Besides the ‘ Pretty Rich’ slightly obnoxious monicker the palette is pretty subtle yet very pigmented. All the colors are so gorgeous and blend in together so beautifully that you will not be mistaken for a women stuck in the late 90’s from loads of glittery makeup fallout.

The palette is luxurious and quite sophisticated- a great buy for Spring!

Here are the fun colors:

1. Diamonds for Breakfast

2. It’s Designer

3. Fancy That

4. Filthy Rich

5. Clutch your pearls

6. Princess Cut

7. Diamond Glitterati

10. It’s Cashmere

11. Don’t Carat All

OUR FAMILY CHRISTMAS CARD

We were super organized and got the Christmas photos taken right after Thanksgiving this year. We managed to get a few good shots, which is not an easy feat with a baby, dog, moody tween and a photo shy hubby all to dress, pose and maneuver!

Here are our favorites from the shoot. This year I’m going for a fun magazine theme layout which lends for a creative look over the typical classic portraits.

AFTER

These were so much fun to create and printing is a breeze on Vistaprint.com. With such a wide selection of holiday card templates, this had been my holiday card go-to for over 5 years now. Check out the selection on vistaprint.com.

Happy Holiday Card shopping!

LITTLE LUXURIES

Nothing gets me going like a little glamour to keep up with the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I guess it’s a little beauty armor to keep me revved up for this busy season!

This holiday season I seem to be always reaching for this favorite combo, so much so I had to blog about it.

I absolutely adore My Burberry Blush by Burberry for the holidays. It’s warm and heavy, but fresh and light at the same time. It’s the perfect fragrance for giving and receiving hugs as it reminds me of sparkling crisp holiday nights in the city before warming up at home with a cup of cocoa by the fire. If you can imagine a scent being able to do all this haha!

I also love Tom Ford lipstick in Black Orchid. It’s a creamy luxe eggplant color that goes on with a bit of a deep pink but then warms up to a warm Aubergine. I am personally loving plum and grey with silver as a color palette this holiday season, so this is the perfect lip color to compliment most of my holiday outfits.

A CLASSIC THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! If you’ve been following my blog for a while you know that I love a festive holiday table, and this year is no different – although my time commitment is a little more limited with looking after my baby.

So this year I am keeping it super simple. Crisp white table linen compliment deep charcoal grey linen napkins and decorative pumpkins and acorns finish the look. I love a good linen napkin – there is something so elegant with using a soft and versatile texture from which to serve. This year I’ve replaced the classic napkin ring with jute cord and tied name tags together into a bow. I’ve paired these with my Vera Wang china and gold chargers. This simple table arrangement with candles and faux foliage complete my Victorian luxe farmhouse aesthetic.

Here a a few pics of my home this Thanksgiving. We managed to update our living and dining space with gorgeous new furniture and wallpaper, just in time for Thanksgiving!

Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving 2018!🍂🦃

Happy Halloween 🎃

My family love an excuse to have a party. And when the holidays start to roll around, the parties begin. Halloween kicks off our festive season. Every year we all dress up as a memorable character from the year and welcome in the youngest trick or treaters to our home before we go out ourselves.

It’s Audrey’s first Halloween and she was the Great Pumpkin to Ellie’s Snoopy and simply adorable!!

My husband and I were dressed as our favorite couple of the year, Harry and Meghan.

Hope you all had a great holiday. What are tie favorite traditions?

Welcome to Fall!

I absolutely love this time of year! The season welcomes you in with its chilly temperatures and it is the perfect time to snuggle by the fire with loved ones.

Recently my family and I headed to Farm View Farms in Wayne, NJ for the quintessential Autumn experience, pumpkin picking and Hayride. With only a short distance from home it was the perfect fall getaway to welcome in the season.

What are your favorite ways to welcome in fall? Leave me a comment below!

Summer Garden Decor & Tour

Sometimes in life it is difficult to determine the flowers from the weeds.  This sentiment can be used to apply to flowers and friends, but in this instance,  I am purely referring to my garden.  I love the “shade” of it all!

I have given my garden a long time to show me what it was working with, and my landscaper had even longer.  After 5 years I have now finally gotten an understanding of what is working and what isn’t. What blooms and what is just taking up space and nutrients from the soil. Least to say, the garden was a complete mess at this point.  it was over grown and filled with weeds.  Even the grass had weeds. So I fired my old landscaper, that was step one.  Found a new company, and I instructed them to get rid of all the weeds and replant the random plants into new places to make everything more symmetrical and tidy.

Here is what it all looked like before:

Now that the hard work was done,  I set about finding some new things to plant in all the freshly cleared ground.  I love bright, full and colorful plants, with fragrant blooms. So I purchased a few plants from Growjoy.com. Shipping was fast and the plants arrived healthy and strong.

They have been planted for a little over 2 weeks now and the chrysanthemums are already starting to bloom!

Here is what it looks like now:

When it comes to getting stuck into the dirty work of gardening,  these garden gloves are my absolute favorite to use for pulling up weeds and digging as they are long, quite comfortable and femininely floral.

Milani Gilded Desires Eye and Face Palette Review

I have a bit of an eyeshadow palette obsession. When Milani Cosmetics released their new department store quality eyeshadow palettes earlier this year I know I had to try them out.

I purchased the most glittery yet neutral one I could find. Something which would give huge color payoff yet provide extremely wearable shades. So I opted for the Milani Gilded Desires palette. It’s a gorgeous selection of 6 stunning metallics and 6 gorgeous creams , all so wearable and extremely pigmented. It also comes with 2 amazing highlighters, one in a shimmery copper and the other in a sumptuous silver which will both give a gorgeous ‘glass skin’ look to any skin tone. Needless to say, I am obsessed.

These palettes were sold exclusively through Walmart but have now all sold out. Last time I checked you might still be able to purchase them directly form Milani Cosmetics website.

Summer Beauty Favorites

Summer means its time to step up the beauty game, especially now that I am running on an average of 4 hours of sleep. These products are easy to use with minimal effort in the application process and they ensure maximum results with providing full coverage. They have strong wearing power with no need for touch ups, because like, who has time for that?

This coverstick I wear is a foundation and concealer in one, a perfect go-to for when I have literally 2 minutes to put on some makeup.

Next a quick brush of bronzer provides a subtle bronze glow and warms up my skin tone, again with minimal effort. Just a quick swipe of powder blends into the coverstick for a  beautiful even complexion.

If I have an extra minute or two I’ll add some eyeshadow from my new Viseart palette. This beauty is a year round go-to for me, but especially great for summer with it’s warm metallics and creams. It provides just for the right amount of accent, in a wide variety of beautiful neutral colors. It’s perfect for when I have an extra 5 minutes to attempt to look awake.

Finally I’ll reach for a creamy matte shade of lipstick to compliment what I’m wearing or my mood. Whether it’s a creamy nude or a dazzling neon pink these lippies from Milani Cosmetics apply evenly and provide wonderful moisture to my lips.
