So Ellie has been a pretty fussy eater lately. She had a pretty heavy cold and naturally went off her food, cause who likes to eat a lot when ill anyway? But since she has been better I have been waiting expectantly for her hearty appetite to return and no luck. We’ve taken her to the doctor’s and they say she’s fine and everything is absolutely normal, and when she went to her grandmother’s house for Easter and devoured everything that was set in front of her, I knew the answer to her picky eating was not that she wasn’t hungry, but she just didn’t fancy the food that I had been giving her.
So not to be out done by granny’s Sunday roast dinner, I needed some new recipe ideas fast! I resorted to the much acclaimed Annabel Karmel’s New Complete Baby and Toddler Meal planner.
I chose something that looked pretty tasty and was relatively easy to knock up: chicken and apple balls. The recipe took about 10 minutes prep time and 25 minutes to cook
Needless to say, Ellie ate almost every last one – problem solved! My baby just likes a bit of a variety to her food, after all it is the spice of life!
What are some favorite toddler meals that you swear by? I would love to hear your inspirations!
