I love, I mean love a bargain! So when its time to refresh the wardrobe with a few new items I always retreat to my old haunts in Queens, New York where I can get the best deals around.
I purchased some lovely items for spring/ summer 2014 mainly from a little publicized gem called Shopper’s World in Queens. It is what I refer to as a “broke man’s Target” where one can pick up household items, clothes, accessories and much more for unbelievable prices.
My first score were some amazing floral trousers, which will go with many items from my closet. I also picked up a bold coral pink dress, a smart black and white color-block sleeveless dress and some awesome gold gladiator sandals.
Then I headed over to another old favourite of mine called Pretty Girl, where I snagged a beautifully fun and bright sleeveless flyaway cardigan, and a flirty black tank top. To finish my shopping spree off, I picked up some jazzy accessories, a fun turquoise cross-body bag from Forever 21, and some beautifully spring time fresh Bath & Body Works Candles.

Christina’s Top Coats looks at Butter London Kerfuffle
So its finally summer, or at least that’s what the calendar says being that the weather patterns as of late seem like we are in a perpetual state of early spring, but never the less I’d thought I’d kick of the start of the upcoming summer season with a beautiful summery peach shade from Butter London in Kerfuffle.
The color is gorgeous IMO, its a warm pastel peach that would work with most skin tones. The formula is pretty opaque and requires at least 2 coats to achieve a streak- free finish. Although the color is beautiful, it is not the easiest formula to apply to achieve a flawless look, so I will have to say this is not the summer staple I would hope it would be.
In natural daylight it becomes even more creamy looking evoking a beach side gelato dream, maybe I will keep this one afterall!
