Here are my favorite nail polish picks for Easter. The contenders are all from OPI, as I am a bit of an OPI-holic and I buy almost all of my nail polish from this company. Anyhoo, I digress. Spring is a time to let the old dark vampy nail polish of winters-gone go bye-bye and let loose with some pretty pastel shades. My favorite picks for Easter 2013 are OPI’s Fiercely Fiona from the Shrek Forever collection, OPI’s Pink Yet Lavender from the Mariah Carey collection and an oldie but goodie, OPI’s Mod about you. Here is what the colors look like in the bottle.
I decided to go with Fiercely Fiona as my base color. Fiercely is a warm pastel yellow compliments my skin tone. It’s not too bright of a yellow like OPI’s Need Sunglasses but it is warm enough that I don’t look like I am suffering from some sort of nail jaundice! The formula is just OK in my opinion as it took 3 coats to get an even application, but all around I am very happy with the color and this is one that will see me well in to the summer months.
Here is the final blinged out Easter look, with OPI’s Mariah Carey collection Pink Yet Lavender on the top. PYL is a mirco-glitter mixed with larger pink particles and makes for a very pretty accent.
I found when applying Pink Yet Lavender that I only needed to dab a little on the nail and spread it across the nail bed – a little of this stuff goes a long way!
