There’s something utterly charming about enjoying afternoon tea with a sea view, and this outfit perfectly captured that cozy elegance with a coastal twist. I wore this look on a recent trip to Folkestone, perched high above the Channel on our rooftop terrace that offered the dreamiest backdrop of cliffs, rooftops, and shimmering water.
The star of the show? This rich red satin skirt. It brought movement, shine, and a romantic splash of color that played beautifully against the neutrals. I paired it with my go-to rhinestone-embellished flats—they’re comfortable, sparkly, and make any outing feel special.

I started with a classic Breton striped top—a subtle nod to seaside style—layered with a creamy knit cardigan that added just the right amount of warmth against the coastal breeze. The gold buttons and structured fit gave it a polished feel, and I added a silky scarf in burgundy and cream to tie the look together and bring a bit of French flair.

It felt like a grown-up version of a seaside storybook outfit: comfortable, elevated, and just a little whimsical. Sipping Earl Grey while watching the sunset over Folkestone’s coastline made for a magical end to the day.

This look would be just as lovely for a museum date or lunch in a charming village. Add a beret, and you’re ready for Paris too!
